23 short pieces make up Abracadabra Recorder in a variety of well-known traditional musical styles, including Lord of the Dance and Skye Boat Song as well as christmas songs such as Infant Holy, Infant Lowly and I Saw Three Ships. As you move through the book, you are systematically introduced to new notes through the wide variety of solos, duet and ensemble pieces - optional tuned and untuned percussion parts and lyrics are also printed alongside some of the pieces so that you can play with all your friends who aren't necessarily recorder players.

Musical Development

Throughout Abracadabra Recorder 1, you are encouraged to develop your musical awareness and basic music theory through a variety of rhythm, dynamics and time signatures that are clearly marked in the pieces.
