Blues is one of the oldest and most influential styles of popular music, with many artists still recording blues to this day! The Blues Piano Collection contains 32 tracks from famous blues artists such as Ray Charles, Nina Simone, Diane Krall, and The Blues Brothers.

Blues through the ages

The Blues Piano Collection is full of famous tracks from all across blues’ long history, and spans 90 years of recordings - from the original blues man, Howlin’ Wolf, to Bob Dylan, to Katie Melua’s 2003 recording of ‘Learnin’ the Blues’. With popular tracks like ‘I Wish I Knew How It Would Feel to be Free’ (Nina Simone), ‘Blue Suede Shoes’ (Elvis Presley), and ‘Watermelon Man’ (Herbie Hancock), The Blues Piano Collection really does have something for everyone! Chords symbols are printed on the music - this encourages you to improvise your own interpretation of these blues classics. The music includes chord symbols, performance directions, fingerings, metronome markings, dynamics, articulation, and ornaments. The arrangements are an intermediate level (approx. grades 4-6 standard).
