The 55 exercises in this ABRSM Grade 1 Piano Sight-Reading book are typical of what you will encounter in your ABRSM grade 1 piano exam, which is a 4-bar piece in 4/4 or 3/4, or a six-bar piece in 2/4, in the key of C, G or F majors, A or D minors,with simple dynamics, note values, articulations, and occasional accidentals (within minor keys only), and each hand playing separately using different hand positions and in a five-finger position. The exercises are also marked with dynamics, performance directions, articulations, and fingerings.
