You’ll find something you love among this great selection, which includes ‘Ten Little Indians’, ‘Jingle Bells’, ‘Ode to Joy’, ‘Old MacDonald’ and loads more, some with lyrics for you to sing along to! Piano Lessons Made Easy Level 1’s fun and colourful illustrations introduce each note by its letter name, decorate pieces and worksheets, and introduce you to the different clefs and the musical stave. There are also clear fingering diagrams and tips to help you find your way round the piano.
Basic theory and oral quizzes
Basic theory information is presented between short pieces that practise new concepts, covering basic note values, 4/4 and 3/4 time signatures, basic dynamics, some key Italian terms, slurs, ties and repeat signs. Piano Lessons Made Easy Level 1 also has 8 worksheets that act as checkpoints through the book and summarise what you’ve learnt so far, and 2 name the song quizzes - match the pictures to the song from the book - do you remember the characters? There are also oral questions for your teacher to ask you and tick the boxes when you have answered.
