ABRSM grade 6 piano pieces
The ABRSM Piano Exam Pieces Grade 6 book contains 9 selected pieces from the 2013-14 ABRSM piano grade 6 exam syllabus, covering a wide range of styles, including cool and challenging pieces such as Schumann’s ‘Fürchtenmachen (Frightening)’, Rebello’s Jazz piece ‘A wise Bud’ and Berkeley’s lively ‘Allegro’, which shifts between 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11 quaver beats in a bar! There are 3 pieces from each of the lists A, B and C in the ABRSM Piano Exam Pieces Grade 6 book - you have to choose one from each list for your grade 6 ABRSM practical exam. Most students just choose pieces from this book for their ABRSM exam, however there is also a list of alternative pieces to choose from in the front of the book. This 2013-2014 syllabus is valid from 1 January 2013 until the end of the spring 2015 exam period in the UK, and until 31 December 2015 in all other countries. Recordings of all the grade 6 pieces are available as part of the ABRSM Grade 6 Piano Book with CD or on a separate CD.
