As part of your ABRSM grade 4 piano exam, you will be asked to play some piano scales from memory. - Scales (similar motion) in B, Bb, Eb, Ab & Db majors, and C#, G#, C & F minors (harmonic ormelodic at candidate’s choice), hands together and separately, 2 octaves
- Contrary-motion scales inF & Eb majors and D & C harmonic minors, hands beginning on the key-note (in unison), 2 octaves
- Chromatic scales beginning on any black key named by the examiner, hands separately and together, 2 octaves
- Arpeggios inB, Bb, Eb, Ab & Db majors and C#, G#, C & F minors, hands together and separately, 2 octaves
The sections of your exam
