ABRSM grade 8 piano pieces
The ABRSM Piano Exam Pieces Grade 8 book contains 12 selected pieces from the 2013-14 ABRSM piano grade 8 exam syllabus, by composers from across many different musical eras and many different countries, from famous German composers J.S. Bach, Beethoven, Brahms and Schumann, to French impressionist Claude Debussy, to Canadian jazz pianist Oscar Peterson, among many others. There are 3 pieces from lists A and B, and 6 from list C included in the ABRSM Piano Exam Pieces Grade 8 book - you have to choose one from each list for your grade 8 ABRSM practical exam. Many students just choose pieces from this book for their ABRSM exam, however there is also a list of alternative pieces to choose from in the front of the book. This 2013-2014 syllabus is valid from 1 January 2013 until the end of the spring 2015 exam period in the UK, and until 31 December 2015 in all other countries. Recordings of all the grade 8 pieces are available as part of the ABRSM Grade 8 Piano Book with CD or on a separate CD.
